| Biography: |
| Walton earned a spot on the all-conference and all-state teams his junior year.
Walton reports a 2.5 GPA/September 24 ACT retest unreported--needs to improve score to qualify.
Coach's Comments:“I think the thing that separates him from other lineman is his ability to move,” said Coach Scott Chadwick. “He’s got tremendous mobility and agility for a 270-pound guy. He really runs more like a strong safety or linebacker. We try to take advantage of that, we run the old Redskin counter with him pulling from the tackle spot. We run a lot of tosses and pitches.”
J.B. Walton: "I’m very explosive and pretty quick," said Walton. "I'm good at pulling and am a good pass blocker. I have good technique and know what to do. I try to get upfield fast and never stop. I still want to improve my running blocking and work on staying low. That way I'll be able to handle the smaller guys better. I also want to change my moves up more and mix things up."
