Blake Griffin on Hansbrough: "You know, it's
exciting, but like I said last night, it's not going to be a one-on-one
battle by any means. It's going to be Oklahoma versus North Carolina.
That's how we plan to play them. I'm not going to try to break away from a
team concept and try to show him up or anything like that. I have no
problem with him. He's a great player. He's been a great player for four
years now. I have a lot of respect for him." |
Tyler Hansbrough on Blake Griffin: “Clearly he
is a good player. I really don’t watch a lot of college basketball so I
haven’t caught many of his games, but I understand the hype surrounding him
and I watched some of his highlights and I understand he is a good player. I
am not going to go out there and try to have a one-on-one match with him. I
am ust going to go out there and do whatever my team needs me to do to win.” |
UNC’s Roy Williams on Griffin:
“There's nothing that concerns me more than Blake. He's
a guy that can get 40 in 20. There's not many of those guys around very
often. So that does concern me more than anything else. But they really have
good balance around.” |
OU’s Jeff Capel on Hansbrough: “Carolina is
really good. They're as good as I've seen on tape this year, and in
person. They're incredibly explosive. I was counting, when I was looking
at their roster, I think they have nine McDonald's All Americans. One of
them (Hansbrough) is at almost 3,000 points.” |
