No. 1:
Player: Ryan Broyles
Position: Starting slot receiver
The rundown: Broyles led the team in all major receiving categories a year ago with 89 receptions for 1,807 yards and 21 touchdowns. He earned All-Big 12 second team honors and comes into this year as a Preseason All-Big 12 wide receiver and punt returner, where he had 56 returns for 730 yards last season in addition to his impressive receiving numbers. In his first year of action during the 2008 campaign, he racked up 46 catches for 687 yards.
Expectations for 2010: No one expects any less than a ridiculous year in the receiving and return game for Broyles. He should go for 1,000 yards in the air with a much improved quarterback Landry Jones at the helm this time around. As Broyles said during the spring, he expects to be on top not only on his team, but among those around the nation. Look for that to happen.
