No. 23:
Player: Josh Aladenoye
Position: Backup right tackle
The rundown: While Aladenoye is listed as a reserve offensive lineman behind right tackle Cory Brandon, he’s a guy that’s melded within the system for a year, as he redshirted a season ago during 2009. Prior to that, he was an impressive prospect on the recruiting trail, listed as the 36th-ranked offensive lineman coming out of high school. Aladenoye, from Mesquite, Texas, has a good frame for his position at 6-foot-5, 342 lb.
Expectations for 2010: Sooner fans hope, at least for performance sake from starter Brandon, that they won’t see a whole lot of Aladenoye at this position in the fall. But if Brandon is as shaky as he was in the opener against BYU a year ago, he could see some action. But that doesn’t seem all that likely with a better corps. around him.
