Cameron Newton, a 6-foot-6, 248-pound quarterback from Blinn College (Texas) passed for over 2,800 yards and 22 touchdowns and rushed for 655 yards and 16 additional scores in '09.

His solid play helped to lead the Buccaneers on to the Conference and National Championship.
