Junior defensive end Jeremy Beal on Jacory Harris' play
It wasn't just him. It was just the whole offense as a whole, you know. I mean they had some good plays on us. They outplayed us on offense, and we didn't step up in the fourth quarter to make some plays as a defense.
On Javarris James' 50-yard run in the second quarter
It was just a good play. They ran a good play, and we didn't defend it well.
On if they expected Miami to bounce back from a tough loss to Virginia Tech
Yeah. I mean, being Miami, Miami-Oklahoma, it's a historic rivalry. You know, anybody's going to bounce back like that. After a loss like that, anybody's going to bounce back and play like they did, and we expected it, but we didn't play well enough to win.
On what was wrong defensively
I really don't know. You know, I guess we've just got to [evaluate it]. I mean, I can't tell you until we watch film and correct the mistakes we made. You know, I can tell you after that, but right now I mean, I just don't know. They outplayed us.
On what they did offensively
Yeah. They did a lot of stuff and quick passes and yeah, they did a great job trying to get the ball out of Harris' hands, and they played a really good game.
On his personal game
I just felt like I needed to step up, and I think everybody every week tries to get better, and that's the goal for everybody, and I just try to do that every week.
On if it was his best game so far
Stats wise, it may be, but technique wise, no. I did not play [well]. I don't feel I played a good game technique wise, but I just got lucky and got some stats and sacks and stuff. But I think as the defense overall, we need to play better, including myself.
On how to refocus and what the goals are
I mean, we don't really try to think about the whole Big 12 as a whole. We just try to think about Baylor coming in next week and try to focus on that. We just try to go out and beat Baylor.
