NORMAN, Okla. -- University of Oklahoma and Sooner Sports Properties officials announced today that Fan Fest activities prior to this week’s Oklahoma-Tulsa game have been cancelled due to wet grounds.

Fan Fest is an interactive fan area that is open prior to OU home football games. It is located on the infield of John Jacob Track.

“The ground were soft for last week’s game and we’ve had more rain since that time,” said Eric Barnhart, general manager of SSP. “We don’t want to subject the fans to muddy grounds and we also don’t want to do any damage to the track and field facility.”

The Sooners and Golden Hurricane are slated for a 2:30 p.m., kickoff this Saturday.
