OU Moves on to Face UNC

The Sooners took care of the Syracuse Orangemen 84-71 on Friday night to set up a monumental match-up with the North Carolina Tar Heels in the 'Elite Eight'.

Blake Griffin set a Big 12 single-season record with his 29th double-double of the year (30 points and 14 rebounds) and was 12-for-15 from the field. Griffin is now shooting .787 from the field in three NCAA Tournament games (37-for-47).

Tony Crocker scored a career-high 28 points with the help of 6-for-11 3-point shooting. It was his first double-digit scoring game in the last eight outings. He also became the 36th Sooner in history to reach the 1,000-point mark for a career.

OU has now reached the Elite Eight three times in the last eight years.
