OU Visits Coming up for Aladenoye

Josh Aladenoye's season has come to an end and since he has already made a commitment to play for Oklahoma he only has one official visit planned before National Letter of Intent Day 2009.

Josh Aladenoye, a 6-foot-6, 330-pound offensive tackle from North Mesquite High in Texas made it up to Norman a couple of times this season for games, and he will be back soon for his official visit. "December 18th is my official visit," Aladenoye said. "It is going to be during the Football banquet that they are having."

Aladenoye is looking forward to spending some more personal time with the coaches and players on his visit, but he had fun on his trips up to watch OU take out Texas Tech and Kansas.

The Kansas game was particularly memorable, because his close friend and former N. Mesquite teammate, WR Daymond Patterson, plays for the Jayhawks.

"The Kansas game was a great game," Aladenoye stated. "My friend (Daymond Patterson) was talking noise all week about how they were going to beat them, but OU handled business just like always."

"The Texas Tech game was a great game. The Red Raiders played good, but there was no way that they were going to beat OU in that environment at night. It was a good game with a great atmosphere. It was just a great environment. OU is tough to beat in Norman."

Aladenoye was not happy with how his final prep season turned out (5-6).

"I thought I did good, but as a team we did not do as good as we had planned on doing," Aladenoye confirmed. "We went 1-4 in district, so we did not do as good as planned, but I think personally I did a good job."

But he was happy that he made it through healthy and got some much needed experience, as he was hampered with injuries in both his sophomore and junior years.

"I just got back to my old self and being physical. And just playing up to my full potential like I know that I could. I think I played more physical and more dominant."

OU OL coach James Patton will be conducting his in-home visit with Aladenoye on Friday.

"I am pretty excited about it," Aladenoye beamed. "I can't wait for him to get down here so we can talk about what is going on right now and what I will be doing heading in to my next season with them."
