Ikard, who now has 489 yards and five scores on the year, pulled down three catches for 135 yards and a score in Mcguinness' thrilling 33-30 victory, but the most important play came with under a minute remaining.
"We had it under control and playing really well and had a 19-10 lead at halftime. We go up 26-10 out of halftime. Stuff goes bad from there and we end up being down somehow 30-26. We were down in the dumps…"
"They kick off with 50 seconds left and we think maybe we can return it for a touchdown. The kid that was returning it falls down on the kick-off at the 14-yard line, so it was about as bad as it can get. We complete an 8-yard hitch and the guy gets out of bounds…"
"On the next play everybody goes deep and Ryan (Randolph) heaves it up to me. This kid and I jump for the ball at the exact same time. I was kind of just trying to keep it from getting intercepted. The ball bounces off his helmet and right in to my hands and I go for a 75 yard touchdown…"

The victory will send the Irish on to the semi-finals and keep their hopes three-peat championship hopes alive, but Ikard's weekend was not yet done.
On Saturday he went to Norman and watched his Sooners obliterate the number two team in the country.
"I just think that it was an incredible atmosphere to be a part of," Ikard exclaimed! They (Oklahoma) looked scary good."
"I think from what coach Stoops did in the media a lot of fans were fired up to make a lot of noise. It helped a lot."
"OU just dominated the whole game, so it was hard not to be excited. People were leaving early, but it is hard to stay when it is that cold and they are up 65-14."
