Against the Spread…

Last year the Sooners went on the road the week before Texas and were handed an upset loss by the hands of the Colorado Buffaloes. This year they are once again a heavy favorite on the road the week before Teas. Will the outcome be the same?

Oklahoma at Baylor

Game Time: 11:30

TV: FSN

Line: -24.5

SI ATS Record: 3-0

We are on fire! But really so far it has been like taking candy from a baby. The Sooners are so good we still don’t think that Vegas has caught up to them with this weeks line.

That being said the Baylor game presents an interesting package. It is the week before Texas, and last week against TCU a few key players like Gerald McCoy, Trent Williams, and Branndon Braxton were all banged up.

To beat Texas OU will need these guys in the trenches to be close to or at 100 percent. Bob Stoops has maintained that these guys have been good to go in practice. I definitely think they will play, but if OU gets a big lead early on it will be interesting to see what happens.

Looking at Baylor’s team stats their defense has not really played that bad against the run, but they have gave up some big plays in the passing game and OU should be able to put up some big offensive numbers.

If Wake Forest and Connecticut can score over 30 points against them then it makes perfect sense that OU will score more than 40, after all they feature what is most likely the most explosive offense in the country.

So we will go ahead and put OU down for at least 45 points, and cross our fingers that a good majority of those come in quarter number one. So the question remains whether or not Baylor can score 21.

They have a pretty strong offense. You have to give Griffin seven points for his playmaking ability. One way or another he should be able to lead the Bears to one at least one score.

When thinking about these games we always try to compensate for the back door touchdown, and with Texas on horizon that could certainly happen this weekend, but we just don’t think that this OU defense will let them get much more than that.

OU- 45

Baylor- 13
