SoonersIllustrated.com is off to a good start so far in handicapping the Oklahoma contests, as we have picked OU to cover both of their spreads and they have taken care of business pretty soundly. Will they be able to put up similar results against TCU?

Oklahoma Vs. TCU

Game Time: 6:00

TV: FSN

Line: -18.5

SI ATS Record: 2-0

Oklahoma has taken care of business in heir first two games ATS of the season. They pulled away late against Cincinnati, and there was never any doubt about the game in Washington.

This week’s game is a little bit tougher, and Vegas seems to be dialed in on a pretty fair number. It is tough to pick either side, because when you break it down OU should win this game somewhere between 17-21 points.

That being said TCU is a feisty bunch. They usually come up big in these types of games, which the 2005 Sooner squad can attest. In their last six games against Big 12 foes the Frogs are 5-1 overall, with the one loss coming last year against Texas.

TCU also has a winning record in Norman (3-1). Not too many non-conference foes are able to boast that type of statistic.

When picking these games we will try to stay away from the trends and focus on what we do know. We do know that Oklahoma is an awfully good team that is coming off of a bye week.

Usually when an elite squad with a great coaching staff has extra time to prepare then you are in for a long day, especially when playing on the road.

We know that TCU has a great staff themselves with a tremendous defense, but I doubt Patterson has ever faced a team that has the type of skill that OU will throw at them this weekend.

The question becomes will the Frogs have enough guns to keep it close? I think that if they play a spot on perfect game or if OU is sloppy then it could be a game that goes all of the way to the wire, but for now we are on a hot streak by picking the Sooners to cover.

Why mess with a good thing?

OU- 34

TCU- 13
