A string of hard luck has continued on for Oklahoma linebacker Austin Box, who will miss some more time after having arthroscopic surgery on his knee on Tuesday.

It seemed like Austin Box most likely had a strangle hold on the starting "Will" linebacker spot, but after he underwent arthroscopic knee surgery Tuesday to repair torn cartilage in his left knee, it looks like the job will fall to Mike Balogun or Travis Lewis, at least through the first one or two games of the season.

OU head coach Bob Stoops said that the anticipated recovery time is three weeks. Stoops called Box "doubtful" for the season opener against Tennessee-Chattanooga, but "probable" for game two against Cincinnati.

Balogun was already pushing Box hard for the starting spot at OLB, but the pressure will now be on him to pick up the schemes even more quickly.
