Tracy Moore, a 6-foot-2, 205-pound receiver/tight end from Union High in Tulsa, Okla., could not have been happier to report that he scored a 23 on the ACT.
“Big numbers (on the ACT) is big time,” Moore exclaimed! “I talked to my coaches and that means it basically opened up the door so I can go wherever I want. It is nice to get that out of the way early.”
Moore is a versatile receiver who had already pulled down scholarship offers from schools like Tulsa and Kansas State, but he came close to pulling the trigger when the Jayhawks came calling.
“I really like Kansas,” Moore informed. “I actually thought about committing to Kansas, but I want to go up there and see what they have to offer first as far as the campus and the coaching staff. Kansas is really high on the list.”
“Kansas State and TU are some other schools. Michigan is also starting to show a lot of interest, so I am trying to keep my options open right now and taking it slow.”
Michigan is a school that has just started to turn up the heat in Oklahoma under new head coach Rich Rodriguez. They have already offered David Oku and Gabe Lynn and have started to show interest in a number of other of the state’s top talents.
“Their linebacker coach came down one day and got with Coach Frid (Union Head Coach Kirk Fridrich) a little bit and got all of my information. I am just waiting to see ho it plays out.
The last time we spoke to Moore he reported that there was some talk about a possible scholarship offer coming in from the Oklahoma Sooners, but he said that interest is nowhere near as intense as it once was.
“I don’t know,” Moore said of the interest from OU. “I have not heard from them in so long.”
Because of his AAU schedule and Union’s spring practice schedule Moore said he is still undecided about where he will attend football camps this summer, but he is set to attend the Under Armour/Scout.com Combine in Kansas City on June 8th.
