Colton Richardson is definitely a talented prospect, but due to the fact that his high school has underwent a coaching change there has been an expected lull in his recruitment, but he has the talent to get a look from a myriad of top programs, and he has already been to schools like OU and TU for unofficial visits.

Colton Richardson, a 6-foot-4, 210-pound athlete from Ada High in Okla., is enjoying he recruiting process.

“Everything is going good,” Richardson began. “I have been to OU and TU for visits.”

“I went to OU about a month ago. I went to Tulsa last weekend. I went to the scrimmage up there and looked at the facilities.”

Oklahoma and Tulsa are not the only schools that are showing Richardson attention.

Texas Tech and Iowa State,” Richardson said of his other schools. “They are all sending me hand written notes and stuff like that.”

With his size and frame it is hard to project what position he will be playing on th enext level.

“Oklahoma is looking at me for defense, but Tulsa is saying receiver and Iowa State is too. I feel like hitting is my biggest strength.”

Richardson is hopeful that the Sooners take a hard look at him.

“I like the Sooners,” Richardson said. That is who I am really looking at. That is who I grew up watching. I loved to watch Adrian Peterson. I like Gresham too. I saw him up there. He is big. He has a big deep voice. I talked to DeMarco Murray too. He is a good player.”

“I sent my film up there and he said that they would give me a call when they see it. They said that I fit right in with their defense there.”

“I have been working hard this off-season. My bench is 245 and my squat 310.”

Richardson believes that it could actually be his other top school that actually steps up with an offer first.

“Tulsa,” Richardson said when asked if anyone was close to stepping up with an offer. “They said if I come in here I will win a gold ring and I will fit right in.”
