Griffin to Return!!!

Ever since the basketball season came to an end when the Sooners were knocked from the NCAA tournament star Blake Griffin has been trying to make the decision on whether he will turn pro or return. This afternoon he made a plethora of OU fans happy when came to the decision that he will indeed be back for his sophomore season.

During a press conference this afternoon at the Lloyd Noble Center’s Kerr-McGee Courtside Club Blake Griffin announced his intentions to return and play his sophomore season at Oklahoma instead of entering the NBA draft, where he was a certain first-round selection.

This season Griffin's hard-nosed style of play helped lead OU back to the NCAA tournament. He led the team in minutes played and field goal percentage and nearly averaged a double-double for the season by averaging 14.7 points per game and 9.1 rebounds.

Griffin earned All-Big 12 honors for his play on the court this season and will be a strong contender to earn All-American type status with an equally strong performance in the 08-09 season.
