Klein Oak TE Jordan Najvar has made a name for himself in the talented Class of 2009 and has the offers to prove it. Here recently, he decided to take a closer look at the Sooner program. He had this to report…

With multiple offers already in hand, Klein Oak (TX) tight end Jordan Najvar is being quite patient, but diligent with his recruitment. He has made quite a few trips to various colleges this off-season, and here recently made a stop in Norman, Oklahoma.

He had this to report.

“It went really good. I had a chance to visit with coaches and other recruits,” Najvar said of the Oklahoma visit. “It seems like they like me a lot and me and the coaches are starting to build a strong relationship.”

Even though the 6-foot-6, 230-pound Najvar did not receive an offer from the Sooner coaches, everything is still positive to him when it comes to how he feels about the Oklahoma program.

“They (Sooner coaches) said they are really looking at me, but want to come do another evaluation of me at my spring practice,” Najvar said. “Oklahoma is a major powerhouse so I understand them needing more evaluations.”

Aside from that, Najvar said that Oklahoma has just really started recruiting him heavily. He said after watching his highlights, they were impressed with what they saw, but they want to see him on the field this spring to finalize a decision.

Other schools that have offered Najvar are Nebraska, Arizona, Arkansas, and recently Clemson. Najvar is quick to say that he has no favorites, but did say that Oklahoma is one of choices after his visit.

“Basically, I had a great trip and almost everything was perfect,” Najvar said. They (coaches) accepted me as one of their top guys. The coaches were very humble and showed a lot of gratitude. If I had a Top 5, they would be in there.”

Najvar next stop will be Arizona next weekend. He caught 15 passes for 305 yards and a score as a junior. He also had 79 yards rushing.
