Justin Aumen, a 6-foot-4, 275-pound offensive lineman from Senior High in Junction City, Kansas has been impressed with Oklahoma and there coaching staff for awhile, but he may have enjoyed Saturday’s trip to campus even better than the trip for junior day. “It went good,” Aumen said. “I did not get there in time to go on the tour, but the fact I got to watch practice was a lot different. There were not a lot of guys there, which was kind of nice. I got to talk to Coach Patton a little bit more.” Aumen had one word to describe his impression of the OU line. “Huge,” Aumen stated! “I think they looked pretty good. They had some penalties, but I think that is what you expect when you are scrimmaging this early.” Aumen has admitted before that he really gets along well with Coach Patton, and nothing has changed. “He seemed pretty laid back,” Aumen explained. “It did not seem like he was really, really tense. Everyone just seemed kind of relaxed being around one another. They were not trying to bite each others heads off.” “Nothing yet,” Aumen said of when asked what is the latest regarding a possible schollie. “They told me that they want me to work on my feet a little bit, and they just want to see more of me, before they make a decision.” Aumen has been hearing from schools like Kansas State, Iowa State, Boston College, Florida State, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and he has a few more visits on tap. “I have been to a couple of K-State practices,” Aumen informed of his other schools. “I plan to go up to Nebraska this Saturday, and then on the 14th I am heading up to KU.” “I like getting (the chance) to talk with the coaches, meeting the players, and just getting to see with how the players mix with the coaches and everybody else. Kind of see how their football life is.” As a junior, Aumen racked up 40 pancake blocks to earn All-State Fab 50, second team All-Class 6A, and All-Conference honors.
