Oklahoma returns to Lloyd Noble Center on Wednesday night to host in-state foe Tulsa. The Sooners are coming off their most impressive outing of the season at TCU and look to continue their winning ways against the Golden Hurricane.

Coming off its most impressive performance of the season, the Oklahoma men’s basketball team returns home Wednesday night to host Tulsa.

Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.

The Sooners (6-2) are coming off a 90-66 win at TCU on Sunday in which they shot 54.5 percent from the field, including 52.2 percent (12-of-23) from 3-point range. Oklahoma also had season-highs in rebounds (50) and rebound margin (17).

Tulsa (2-3) is coming off a 62-51 loss at Arkansas-Little Rock on Saturday and lost its previous game, 84-70, at Oral Roberts. Those are Tulsa’s only two road games.

The Golden Hurricane return four starters from last year’s 20-11 team, but is struggling with turnovers and shooting. They average 18.8 turnovers a contest, shoot .426 from the field and .340 from the 3-point line.

Sophomore guard Ben Uzoh, a teammate of Oklahoma’s Tony Crocker at San Antonio’s Warren High School, leads Tulsa with 16.0 points a game and is second on the team with 7.0 rebounds. Freshman guard Glenn Andrews is averaging 10.0 points and 2.0 assists while sophomore center Jerome Jordan adds 8.0 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.0 blocked shots.

Forward Calvin Walls contributes 6.8 points and a team-high 7.2 boards. Senior guards Rod Earls and Brett McDade are averaging 6.2 and 6.0 points a game respectively.

Doug Wojcik is in his third season as head coach at Tulsa and brings in a 33-31 overall record.

Oklahoma, 4-0 at home this season, owns a 26-11 series advantage over Tulsa, including 9-4 in Norman.

The Sooners have toppled Tulsa each of the past four years, including last season’s 58-48 win in the All-College Classic.
