The Matchup
Oklahoma and Texas will meet for the first time this season tonight in Austin where the Lonhorns are 11-3 this season. But Oklahoma won't enter the Erwin Center intimidated as they will come into the game with a 9-0 road mark this season (4-0 in Big 12 road games).

The Sooners will be facing a young (three freshmen starters) Longhorn squad that has lost three of their last four games and will without their second-leading scorer in sophomore guard Erica Arriaran. However, Texas center Brittany Jackson will pose as a tough matchup inside for Courtney Paris. The 6-foot-3 Jackson ranks fourth in the conference in scoring (18.2), fourth in rebounding (8.9) and 11th in blocked shots. Texas also boasts an Oklahoman and former Sooner recruit in the starting lineup in 6-foot-1 Earnesia Williams.

Texas, whose last win came against A&M in Austin (64-45), comes into the game ranked 9th in the Big 12 in scoring offense (67.2) and 3rd in scoring defense (57.6). Oklahoma is 1st in scoring offense (78.5) and 8th in scoring defense (59.4).

OU trails the all-time series 19-10 and are just 3-7 in Austin under Sherri Coale. However, the Sooners swept the Longhorns last season, including a 61-54 win at the Erwin Center.
