Oregon overcame a 33-20 fourth quarter deficit, sparked by a late controversial call on an onside kick that the officials ruled they recovered, with two touchdowns in the final two minutes to knock-off the 15th-ranked Oklahoma Saturday before the largest crowd to ever watch a game at Autzen Stadium (59,269) Eugene, Ore. (AP Photo)
The Sooners took a 33-20 lead on a Garrett Hartley 20-yard field goal with 3:12 to go in the game, but Oregon scored two minutes later to cut the lead to 33-27.
The Ducks then recovered the onsides kick on a controversial play that was reviewed by the replay offical and upheld, despite the fact that the replay clearly showed an Oregon player touching the ball before the onsides kick traveled 10 yards as well as OU backup Allen Patrick coming out of the pile with the football (see video link below).

Three plays later, Oregon scored on a 23-yard touchdown pass to take the lead, 34-33, with 45 seconods left. However, the Sooners werent' done yet.
Reggie Smith returned the ensuing kickoff to the Oregon 27-yard line putting the Sooners in field goal range. But one play later, Hartley's potential game-winning field goal was blocked as time expired.
The loss puts a damper on another terrific performance by OU running back Adrian Peterson, who turned in a Heisman-like 213-yard rushing performance. The Palestine, Texas native moved into the fifth spot on the Sooners' all-time rushing list, passing De'Mond Parker.
As it turns out, the story of the game was the late call by the officials, as well as the play of Oklahoma's 'swiss cheese' defense.
In all, the Sooner D gave somehow managed to give up 521 yards of total offense despite forcing four turnovers. And their horrendous first-quarter effort put Oklahoma down 10-0 just eight minutes into the game.
The Sooners finished with 380 yards of total offense, 141 of which came in the third quarter alone.
