Nebraska, who returns 16 starters, including senior quarterback and Norman, Okla. native Zac Taylor, was picked to win the North Division.

Of the 28 media members to vote in the poll, 23 tabbed the Sooners with first-place votes to just 5 for Texas. In the North, Nebraska received 21 first-place votes while Iowa State landed 5 and Colorado 2.

Last season, the Big 12 media correctly picked Texas to win the South and Colorado to win the North.

The Big 12 Championship game will be played on December 2 at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo.
