RECRUITING: Top Texas RB back from Oklahoma

The father of Klein, Texas running back Michael Goodson talks about his sons' final four schools and a timetable for a decision while returning from visits to Oklahoma and Oklahoma State.

Having already seen Texas A&M and USC up close and personal, Klein Collins RB Michael Goodson (5-11.5, 188) concluded his unofficial visit tour following Thursday's trip to Norman (Oklahoma) and a Friday visit to Stillwater (Oklahoma State).

"We're on the road right now, heading home," Mr. Goodson told Scout.com.

So, who made the final cut?

In alphabetical order: "Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M and USC."

According to Mr. Goodson, the race to land the Lone Star State's No. 1 tailback will come down to "Mike putting all four schools on a board and weighing everything, because they all have something unique to offer, so it's going to be a really tough decision."

You can expect Goodson to use all of next week, and likely even dipping into the week following that, before making a final decision.

"He's going to spend next week doing some research," Mr. Goodson said. "We're done now. We know which schools (Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, USC) we're looking at and so he'll weigh everything thoroughly. I think you can say that the first week in July is when Mike will make a final decision. He should be ready by then."
