SAN ANTONIO — Conway, S.C., wide receiver Eric Huggins talks about his experience at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, the recruitment of Hivera Green and his expectations as a freshman next season at Oklahoma during an exclusive OUInsider.com interview.

OUInsider.com: You are committed to Oklahoma in May. How solid is your commitment?

Huggins: "I'm a solid commitment. I ain't going nowhere. OU ain't got nothing to worry about."

OUInsider.com: What has your experience at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl been like this week?

Huggins: "Man, it's been fun, man. I've never competed against anybody before like this, because this is the best. I've just been trying to work my hardest man. Even though, I ain't starting, I'm going to get on the field and do my thing. I really ain't worried about anything. There's a lot of good athletes on this team."

OUInsider.com: What players on your team (the East team) have you been most impressed by in practice?

Huggins: "We've got a DB whose number is 21 (Demetrice Morley). Patrick Turner is also a good receiver. He's strong off the line and he's got good height. He's got good hands and good speed."

OUInsider.com: Have you talked to any players this week about Oklahoma?

Huggins: "I've talked to one of them. He's a wide receiver on the West team. He's #1 (DeSean Jackson). He's thinking about going to Oklahoma, but he doesn't know yet. He's waiting on his decision. I don't know what he's going to do. That's the only one I've talked to Oklahoma about."

OUInsider.com: You haven't talked to any other players about Oklahoma?

Huggins: "Nope. Nobody else."

OUInsider.com: Is this week the first time you have ever been to Texas?

Huggins: "Yes, it's my first time. I really don't travel too much. I always stay in South Carolina. I've only really been to Oklahoma, Tennessee and Clemson. I'm always home."

OUInsider.com: What are your observations of the state of Texas?

Huggins: "It's nice, I ain't going to lie to you. It's not really the way I thought it was going to be. I thought it was going to be real hot though. But that hasn't happened yet. It's fun."

OUInsider.com: Do you still talk with the Oklahoma coaches?

Huggins: "Yeah."

OUInsider.com: How much?

Huggins: "You can't talk to them that much. They can only call you at certain times of the month, but when they do call we talk a lot."

OUInsider.com: What Oklahoma coach do you talk with specifically?

Huggins: "Coach Wyatt."

OUInsider.com: How would you describe your relationship with him?

Huggins: "It's real good. He's a good dude. We don't always talk just about football. We talk about my school and how me and my family are doing also."

OUInsider.com: What was your reaction to the Orange Bowl?

Huggins: "I'm not going to lie, it hurt me, man. But it just made me eager to go to Oklahoma and try to get back there (the national championship game). I hope we get Southern Cal again next year, because I want to play them so bad and beat them."

OUInsider.com: What is the latest on your teammate Hivera Green?

Huggins: "I don't what's going on with Hivera right now. I don't really talk to him about it. I don't try to involve myself in where he wants to go. He's got a lot of frustration right now, because all these schools keep offering him. I just hope he makes a good decision, man."

OUInsider.com: Does he want to go to Oklahoma?

Huggins: "I really don't know. At first, yeah, he wanted to go (to Oklahoma) and was waiting on the offer and everything. Now it's like he doesn't know what he wants any more."

OUInsider.com: What are your expectations for your freshman year at Oklahoma?

Huggins: "Man, it's looking pretty good for me right now. I want to come in and start. They've got one person that's over me right now. He plays ‘X' (he thinks it could be Lendy Holmes), so I want to come in and do what I have to do to out beat him for the starting position."
