RECRUITING: Patrick ready to make impact at OU

Junior College safety and OU commit Allen Partick talks about his unofficial trip to Norman.

Allen Patrick, S, 6-3, 200, 4.4, INDEPENDENCE JUNIOR COLLEGE, KANSAS:

JH: Did you make an official or unofficial visit this weekend?

AP: "It was an unofficial. I came up with my cousin. Our offensive tackle Michael Hop also came up for a visit, but he didn't go to the game."

JH: What did you think of the visit?

AP: "I was nice and it was great to go to the game. The atmosphere at the game was tremendous."

JH: How are you doing with your leg fracture?

AP: "I am doing alright. I am walking on it now. I didn't have surgery and they had me in a boot. I am supposed to get it x-rayed this week to see how it is doing."

JH: Did you watch the secondary a bunch during the game?

AP: "I was checking them out back there. They played pretty well. I guess they played decent. I think I can come in and do what I do. I think I can make an immediate impact their secondary."

JH: If they say the leg is OK this week will you try to play again or have you shut it down for the year?

AP: "I took a medical redshirt. No matter what they tell me about my leg I am going to redshirt this year, leaving me with three years of eligibility to play."

JH: Are you still a solid commitment to OU?

AP: "Yeah, that is no question. That is where I am going."
