OKLAHOMA CITY — So far, so good for the Oklahoma women's softball team after round one of the Women's College World Series in Oklahoma City.
The Sooners (45-20-1) took advantage of two Washington's (40-18) errors in the first inning and held on for a 6-2 first round win over the Huskies Thursday night in Oklahoma City.
The Sooners, who are making their fifth-straight WCWS appearance, gave up one run in the top of the first but responded with four unearned runs to take the lead for good and never look back.
After a slow start in the first, OU pitcher

Keiter, who improved to 22-13 with the win, threw her 29th complete game of the season while giving up eight hits and striking out five Huskies.
The Sooners will play California (47-11) in a nationaly televised second round game on ESPN2 Friday at 6 p.m. The Bears, who have beaten the Sooners in their last two meetings in WCWS play, advanced to Friday's matchup with a 4-2 win over Florida State in the late game Thursday night.
