Sooners favored across the board

The season is getting closer and Friday had another sign about why OU fans should be excited.

The reasons for Oklahoma fans to be excited about the 2014 season just keeps on growing. The latest reason happened Friday afternoon when Golden Nugget released the odds of its top 200 games of the season.

The Sooners were featured nine times and are heavy favorites for every single one of them. The only OU games to not make the caught are home contests against Louisiana Tech and Kansas and the road tilt at Tulsa. OU figures to be heavy favorites in all three of those.

Only three other schools are favored in every single game as Oregon, Alabama and Florida State join the Sooners with that distinction.

Being the favorite won't shock some, especially with the way OU closed out the 2013 season, but the point spread is definitely surprising.

The Sooners are double-digit favorites in every game, except in the Red River Showdown against Texas. In the annual showdown, OU is a nine-point favorite.
