Cousins wounded but OK, says Kruger

OU guard Isaiah Cousins was shot in the shoulder Tuesday night but should be OK, said coach Lon Kruger.

Oklahoma basketball coach Lon Kruger said guard Isaiah Cousins is doing well after being shot Tuesday night in New York.

Cousins, originally from Mount Vernon, N.Y., was shot by an errant bullet in the shoulder Tuesday night. In a tweet Wednesday afternoon, Kruger said no surgery is planned and Cousins should be able to be a part of the team's summer activities.

Following an uneven freshman season, Cousins found his niche with the Sooners as a sophomore. He averaged 11 points and 4.2 rebounds per game and was second on the team in steals. He started every single game for the Sooners last season. Recommended Stories
