With OU firmly entrenched in its Big 12 conference play, SoonersIllustrated.com is going to preview each of the Sooners conference games.
When: 8 p.m. CST
What to watch for: The scenario is a lot different for this one compared to the first time these two teams met. OU had horrific travel issues and didn't get to the arena until 90 minutes before tipoff. Obviously that won't be a problem Wednesday.
OU made a big second half comeback only to see Eron Harris shoot the Mountaineers back in it during the closing seconds and carry the day in overtime in West Virginia's win four weeks ago so you know OU won't be overlooking anything.
This will be the final home game for seniors Cameron Clark and Tyler Neal even though senior day festivities were held Saturday. Clark is coming off an uneven performance against Texas and obviously would love to end on a high note.
Scouting the Mountaineers: You can't go through this conference and not suffer a tough two weeks. West Virginia was 7-5 in conference and being talked about as a bubble team before losing three of its last four.
Talk Mountaineers, and it all starts with electric guard Juwan Staten who can do a little bit of everything on the floor. He leads the team in scoring at 18 points per game and leads the conference with 5.9 assists per game.
Harris also averages 18 points per game and makes nearly three 3-pointers per contest, shooting 42 percent for the season on his 3-point field goals.
