Oklahoma freshman wide receiver Jordan Smallwood is out indefinitely after undergoing foot surgery, multiple sources have confirmed to SoonersIllustrated.

Smallwood recently had surgery to repair a Lisfranc injury, which is a fracture of the foot. Early reports were Smallwood was impressive during summer workouts, but it’s now possible he will have to redshirt this season.

No timetable has been set for his return.

There was some good news for OU on Tuesday as junior college signee Josiah St. John confirmed he has made it to OU.

St. John was hopeful to be at OU for summer workouts but had to stay in Toronto. He stated on his Facebook page Tuesday afternoon everything was now good to go.

The Sooners begin practicing Thursday.
