Signing Time: 7:29 a.m.
Scout.com Ranking: Five-star
Signee: Keith Ford (RB—5'11"/195)—The Cypress Ranch product is clearly the gem of the class. He's OU's longest standing pledge after remaining committed from his original date, March 3 of last year. Ford comes in as the No. 5 running back in the country and No. 22 overall prospect and that's definitely warranted with his bruising style which also features incredible vision and the ability to make defenders whiff in the open field.
What he's coming into at the position:Running back is one of the most competitive positions on the squad heading into the 2013 season. Damien Williams, who rushed for a team-high 946 yards and 11 touchdowns, is back for his second and final season after transferring in as a junior college prospect. Brennan Clay is also fresh off his most successful season yet where he amassed 555 yards and six touchdowns. Then, there's Roy Finch plus redshirt freshman Alex Ross, whom the Sooners are ready to unload. So, while he's highly touted out of high school, he'll have to work his way into a tough fray.
