2015 offensive tackle prospect A.J. Harris is focused on getting an early start on the recruiting…
Sophomore Film: A.J. Harris
A.J. Harris is impressive on film, playing with a nasty streak not often found in underclassmen on the offensive line. The 6-foot-4, 285-pound tackle from Blue Valley (KS) High School uses his size and considerable strength to maul players at the line of scrimmage. Harris uses his hands well, flashing the ability to shock his opponents with his initial strike at the snap of the ball. His upper body strength is impressive for his age. He shows some bend in his hips, but is often able to manhandle defensive linemen without worry for leverage. He shows good awareness and scheme understanding, working in combo with his guard to stop a stunting defensive lineman, then hinging back to pick up a linebacker trying to make a play on the running back. The sophomore does a good job of staying in front of defenders in pass protection, and moves his feet well in space. Coaches will love how he batters opponents in the run game, and the potential for gains in size and strength is obvious. Harris could follow Clay Rhodes as the next highly-rated tackle prospect from Blue Valley.
