With three weeks to National Signing Day, Cedar Hill (Tx) receiver and recent Texas A&M decommitment…
Nebraska "right up there"
Former Texas A&M commitment and Cedar Hill high school (TX) wide receiver Quincy Adeboyejo admitted he didn't know much about Nebraska coming into the weekend. He left Lincoln with the Huskers near the top for his services in 2013. "I would give the visit a 9," said Adeboyejo while waiting for an airplane to head back to Dallas. "They have a legitimate chance with me right now. I have two more visits and I would say they are right up there with those two schools." The three-star wide receiver (No. 57 in the country) will visit Texas Tech (Jan. 18th) and UCLA (Jan. 25th) in the near future. The Red Raiders have been projected by experts to be his leader, due to Adeboyejo's relationship with former Texas A&M offensive coordinator and current Texas Tech head coach Kliff Kingsbury. "I hung out with a lot of players, but my host was quarterback Tommy Armstrong this weekend," said Adeboyejo. "He said the Nebraska coaches really take care of you and that it's a big family. He's from Texas as well and told me not to be afraid to leave the state. He said that he loves it here and that he thinks I will as well. "All the coaches were really real and welcomed me. I can tell it's a family there." When talking with Adeboyejo, it was easy to see the senior 6-foot-3, 180 pound wide receiver was excited by Nebraska's facilities on the trip. "They have great facilities. They are really nice," said Adeboyejo. "They had some stuff that I had not ever seen before." With temperatures ranging in the 20s for much of the weekend and dipping down to 11 degrees Saturday night, the Texas product noticed the weather, but will it play a factor going forward? "It was pretty cold, I'm not going to lie, but it doesn't bother me," said the three-star wide receiver. "It won't factor into a decision." Stay with Big Red Report as we continue to monitor Adeboyejo's recruitment over the next couple of weeks, including a Nebraska in-home visit down the road.
