Texas A&M was one of the latest schools to throw their hat in the ring with a scholarship offers, but the Scout.com Top 100 defensive tackle had already pared down his list.
"They were on me from the get go and they were saying all along if something opened up they were going to give me the offer, but I already knocked it down to these three and I did so much work with these three, so I don't want to go back a step when I am almost done," Billings explained.
He broke down what he likes about his three favorites.
Texas - "I took an official visit to Texas and it was pretty fun. I got to hang out with the players and eat breakfast with Mack Brown and see what the coaches were like. They do what they do and they don't change anything for you, so you really get to see what it is like."
Baylor - "The players there, I know some of them and I feel like I can relate to them. The coaches there, I have a great relationship with them. I have a great relationship with all the coaches, but really just them being in Waco helps."
TCU - "I really like the coaches, especially 'Coach Bumps' (Dick Bumpas, TCU Defensive Coordinator). He told me what I would be doing there and I really like what he had planned for me. I fit better and that is why I like it (Bumpas' plan) that much."
His lone official visit thus far has been to Texas, but he has plans to see his other two favorites before making a decision "sometime after the last official visit".
"I will visit TCU on the 11th and Baylor on the 25th," Billings said.
Billings -- who earned Scout.com First Team All-Midlands honors in 2012 -- is being recruited to play defensive tackle by all three of his finalists.
