DT a hot prospect

Jaynard Bostwick

Some big boys are hot after defensive tackle Jaynard Bostwick.

Jaynard Bostwick (Fort Pierce, Fla./St. Lucie West Centennial) is a hot commodity among defensive tackles in the state of Florida. According to his coach Ron Parker he will make official visits to at least three big time BCS programs.

"I know he will be making ones to Miami and Florida for sure," Parker said. "And he's already set up an official visit to Alabama (1-18). I believe it's Martin Luther King weekend. Georgia, Oklahoma and Michigan State are fighting it out for the other visits. I know he really wants to go out and see Oregon but he's backing off that now because of the distance."

Many feel Bostwick will stay home and play for the Hurricanes or possibly head just a little north to Gainesville. But be aware of Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide.

"He has talked with Saban quite a bit," Parker said. "He could play in their scheme or any scheme. They are made an in-home visit with him this week. Florida and Miami did them last week."

Bostwick, 6-foot-3 and 305-pounds, just scored a qualifying 20 on his ACT.
