OL Rodgers Looking at Visits

Na'Ty Rodgers

Pomfret (Md.) McDonough High offensive lineman Na'Ty Rodgers is looking at South Carolina, Michigan, Nebraska and Maryland. He has a leader among the group and talked about when he could officially visit those schools.

Not much has changed in the recruitment of McDonough High (Pomfret, Md.) offensive guard Na'Ty Rodgers, but in the next six weeks plenty could.

As has been for most of the fall, the 6-foot-5, 280-pound Rodgers' only official visit was to Oklahoma, and his leader is South Carolina.

But he is also looking to fit in a trio of official visits – to Michigan, Nebraska and Maryland – before he makes his decision at the Under Armour All-American Game on Jan. 4.

"I'm going to try and take (visits to) Maryland, Michigan and Nebraska before (the game), and then take South Carolina after it," Rodgers said. "The other visits are in the process of being set up."

Rodgers added he could visit Nebraska the weekend of Dec. 7, and trip to Michigan the following week. It would mean he would have to make a visit to Maryland either this weekend, or change his schedule plans and make it in January.

"Maryland is really my hometown school and I'm really taking a strong look at them," he said. His interest in Michigan and Nebraska stems from speaking with his father, Tyrone, who played at Oklahoma and Washington.

"Michigan and Nebraska, those are two schools I've always been curious about growing up as a kid so I really wanted to take a look at them," Rodgers said. "They have really good linemen. So for them to offer me and them to have really good linemen, that is something I have to look at."

However, Rodgers' favorite remains the Gamecocks.

"South Carolina, it's just a great atmosphere down there," he said. "The coaching staff excites me and I really like it there."
