5. Defensive end R.J. Washington is poised for a breakout season
Sooner fans: remember the names Frank Alexander and Pryce Macon? Look no further than defensive end R.J. Washington for the next potential breakout player in his senior year like those two. Of course, Alexander had been productive throughout his career, but he elevated his game to another level last year in his final one and so did Macon before that. Washington, who finished with 16 tackles, including five for loss, all five sacks, a year ago, has impressed throughout fall camp. The coaching staff and Washington alike have talked about his maturity and he’s ready to make a real impact.
