NORMAN, Okla. — Sooners Illustrated is presenting something to know about the team every day over the final seven days until opening kickoff, and here is nugget No. 4.

4. Running back Dominique Whaley is fully recovered

There will be some anxiety until he takes those first few hits in game one, but Whaley is healthy and good to go off his broken ankle a season ago. He has weathered the storm through fall camp without any repercussions and done so strongly by all accounts. Whaley should be set for a big year in his final one in a Crimson and Cream uniform. Expect him to easily surpass his rushing yardage total from 2011.
