Broyles headed to Detroit

Former OU wide receiver Ryan Broyles

With the 54th overall pick, the Detroit Lions have bolstered their receiving corps that already includes Megatron, selecting former Sooner slot receiver Ryan Broyles in the second round.

Broyles becomes the first Sooner selected in the 2012 NFL Draft after tearing his ACL late last season.

The all-time NCAA receptions leader finished his career with 349 catches and 45 touchdowns, including 4,586 yards.

That mark placed him second in FBS history to only Wyoming wide receiver Marcus Harris, who accumulated 5,005 yards throughout his career.

He shattered numerous Sooner records, including the receptions, receiving touchdowns and yardage marks, among others.

Despite missing the final four games of the season, Broyles still led the team with 1,157 yards and 10 touchdowns on 83 catches.
