Undoubtedly, headlining all those was tight end James Hanna, who stood out as the fastest tight end with his 4.49 second 40-yard dash.
Hanna also finished as a top performer in the 60-yard shuttle, 20-yard shuttle and three-cone drill, ranking first at 11.43 seconds, second at 4.11 seconds and second at 6.72 seconds in the three drills, respectively.
Cornerback Jamell Fleming had himself a performance as well, finishing as a top performer in both in the bench press, where he managed 23 reps, and the broad jump, where he leaped 10’5”.
That was good enough to place him second and fourth in each, and he also dashed 4.53 in the 40.
Defensive end/linebacker Ronnell Lewis set a combine best 36 reps in the bench press and also recorded a solid 4.68 40-yard dash time.
Showing even more Sooner speed was offensive lineman Donald Stephenson, the blind side tackle from a year ago.
Stephenson raced to a 4.94 40-yard dash, besting all linemen at the combine.
Receiver Ryan Broyles, still battling back from his torn ACL in 2011, placed second among participating receivers at the event in bench press with his 21 reps at 225 pounds.
Perhaps the one guy who really has something to prove still heading into OU’s March 14 Pro Day is linebacker Travis Lewis.
He struggled to a 4.88 40-yard dash time, which he’ll try to improve on in a couple weeks, but impressed with a 10’2” broad jump, 36-inch vertical and 22 reps on the bench press.
Defensive end Frank Alexander was the only other Sooner in attendance but did not work out due to an injury.
