Kruger to Meet With Rotnei Clarke

Arkansas transfer guard Rotnei Clarke

NORMAN, Okla. -- The Sooners could potentially land a great perimeter player for the 2012-13 season, if head coach Lon Kruger decides to extend an offer to Arkansas transfer guard Rotnei Clarke after meeting today.

Clarke, the all-time leading scorer in the state of Oklahoma's high school basketball history, is reportedly down to OU and Butler as his final two.

He averaged 15.2 points per game and connected on 43.8 percent of his 3-pointers, knocking down 91 total in 2010-11.

The 6-foot, 184-pound sharpshooter also shot 86 percent from the foul line and averaged three assists per game.

Before joining the Razorbacks, Clarke averaged 40.8 points per game during his senior year at Verdigris High School in guiding the Cardinals to the Class 3A State Championship.

He scored 3,758 points in his career there.
