Unranked OU comes into the contest on a two-game losing streak, falling short in their most recent outings against Texas A&M and Baylor. The Sooners arrive with an 8-8 record, but all eight of those victories have come at home, as they have failed to win a road game in going 0-7. Texas, on the other hand, is 13-3 overall (1-0 Big 12), boasting the No. 12 and No. 14 rankings in the country in the Associated Press and ESPN/USA Today Polls, respectively.
--OU owns a 47-29 series lead against UT and is 16-16 in Austin, as the two split a pair of decisions last year, with each team winning on its home court.
--Forward Cameron Clark is averaging 13.1 points and 5.1 boards per game over the last eight games after managing only 5.5 points and 3.3 rebounds in the first eight contests.
--Guard Steven Pledger is shooting a scorching 64.7 percent from behind the arc throughout the past three games.
--In eight wins, OU is .500 from the field and nearly 44 percent from long range, while in their losses, they are 43.4 percent from the field and just more than 30 percent from deep.
--Seven Sooners have led the team in scoring this year.
Looking at the Longhorns:
--Among their 13 wins are victories over Illinois, North Carolina, Michigan State and Arkansas. Their three losses came to Pittsburgh, USC and UConn. They are 1-0 in the conference after defeating Texas Tech the other night.
--UT is shooting 45.5 percent from the field, 36.4 percent from 3-point range and 64.7 percent from charity. And it is plus-7.6 in rebounding margin.
--Guard/forward Jordan Hamilton leads the ‘Horns in scoring with 19.4 points per game to go along with 7.1 rebounds and 2.3 assists per contest.
