OU vs. Florida State: Postgame Breakdown

Tight end James Hanna had a touchdown reception.

With the exception of Florida State's first drive after OU took the lead 7-0, the Sooners dominated this game from start to finish on their way to a convincing 47-17 victory Saturday at Oklahoma Memorial Stadium.

Game ball goes to: Quarterback Landry Jones--After a shaky performance last weekend against Utah State where he threw for only 217 yards and completed less than half of his passes, he responded and in a big way. Jones tossed the ball all over the FSU defense, racking up 321 yards in the first half, the second most ever in a first half by a Sooner quarterback. That was part of a 30-for-40, 380-yard performance that included four touchdowns.

Play of the game: There are many to pick from, but Jones' brilliant second quarter touchdown toss to wide receiver Cameron Kenney, a 36-yard strike, stands out above the rest. It was perfectly thrown right over the covering defensive back and into Kenney's hands to put OU up 21-7.

It was over when: Jones hit tight end James Hanna over the middle of the field, and he went 46 yards to the paint, making it 27-7 midway through the second quarter. FSU was so out of sync on both sides of the ball that a 20-point lead was virtually insurmountable.

Surprise of the game: Each of OU's tight ends got in on the scoring affair. Hanna first had his score, then Trent Ratterree caught a 7-yard touchdown pass of his own from Jones.

The biggest thing we learned: The Sooners have a lot more in their offensive arsenal than was exposed last week against Utah State. They broke out an extensive set of screen passes and swing passes that tore up FSU.

The biggest concern:Running back Brennan Clay's status. The true freshman went down early in the fourth quarter, was mobilized and carried off on a stretcher.

Streak count: 32 straight home wins.
